The renewable resource - wood - has been used for producing windows and doors for many centuries. Danish Timber Window Systems have implemented this ancient idea by combining modern technology with traditional Craftsmanship.
Our partners, Vrogum A/S in Denmark have been producing quality wooden windows and doors for nearly 50 years. Together we have specialised in manufacturing windows suited for each individual home and/or building project - size, colour, design and fittings can be delivered as required. Because our products can be delivered in any dimension and colour and because they are designed to agree with the architectural style of individual homes, they give the finishing touch to any house or building; modern or classic, private homes or restoration projects. Northern Scandinavian Pine of the Best Quality "Only the best is good enough!" – That is the criteria, when we select our pine wood. We always use slow growing pinewood from Northern Scandinavia because the long winters and short summers in that area give the tree its close growth rings - and close growth rings give the wood strength, hardness and a remarkable resistance. The wood is sorted thoroughly ensuring a great share of heartwood thus ensuring a high quality and long lasting end product We only using wood from sustainable forestry, i.e. wood being replanted, therefore providing a constant natural resource without putting a strain on the environment and future generations. The advantages of a Danish Timber Window System are many... - Carefully prepared and tested construction through to the selection of superior materials combine to ensure that our doors and windows are the best in the marketplace.
- Unique glass fitting. The glass is fitted from the inside with a silicone sealer on the outside. Silicone seals are superior to rubber weather strips which tend to dry up and leave cracks, enabling water to penetrate the construction. Silicone seals, however, remain hard and tight throughout the window’s life. This ensures a long life and increased security.
- Glazing bead on the inside with hidden nail holes. Increased security, as glass cannot be removed from the outside. Use of external glazing beads can cause cracking of the frame, leading to water penetration and rot. We use internal glazing beads and silicone sealant to overcome this problem.
- 100% smooth and water proof external surface ensuring long life and easy maintenance. Unparalleled construction and surface treatments as well as slim glazing bars and wood profiles result in an aesthetically beautiful and elegant product which is difficult to match.
